The difference is... Al's comment was actually funny. Not that I condone laughs at other people's expense just because it's funny- that's subjective (though I actually laughed out loud reading Roker's quote). But there's a difference between malign and just having fun. Imus was way off base with his comments. Al just got some people a little shaken up, that's all. As irresponsible as it was, I still don't think Imus deserved to be fired.
