I forgot to mention the 60th anniversary of Larry Doby's debut with the Cleveland Indians (July 5, 1947).
Less than 3 months after Jackie Robinson broke the MLB color barrier, Doby became the second BLACK player to break the color barrier.
Doby was inducted in to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1998.
